The objective of this program is to enable the community sustain development through responsible and democratic institutions. The Governance and Institutional Capacity Improvement and peace building program will focus on:

• Assisting in the improvement of local authoritiescommunities, especially law enforcement agencies.
• Supporting capacity building activities for local government authorities and civic, non-governmental institutions.
• Assisting local authorities in the development of viable and sustainable taxation and budget systems.
• Aiding community based organizations with networking contacts, sector analysis, and best practice models for viable and sustainable development.
• Assisting communities in the creation and nurturing of culture of peace through local media that would serve for genuine and neutral forum for dialogue.
• Enhancing human security in its entire dimension through conflict prevention
• Encouraging full participation of women in peace building and decision making circles.
